The former UC Santa Barbara spinout has spent the last year and a half since closing a $7 million funding round working closely with U.S. glass manufacturing partners to design the new line. While it’s had the technology to turn windows into solar panels and continues to refine it at its Goleta headquarters, the startup has had to take on a new skill set to integrate that into the existing window supply chain.
